Our Hearing Check-Ups and Hearing Aid Consultants
Free hearing check-ups are available at all our shops or in the comfort of your own home. Your Hearing Assessment will be carried out by a qualified Owen Hearing specialist who comply with the Codes of Practice of the Health & Care Professions Council and of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists. They will help you determine the degree of hearing loss for each ear, and check for excessive wax or ear infections. The Hearing Check-Up takes about an hour to ensure we are providing you with an excellent service which allows you enough time to absorb any advice we have and for you to ask any questions.
We strongly advise you to have a friend or family member with you to provide support, this also allows our Consultant to carry out a familiar voice test. Once the initial test of your hearing has taken place, our Consultant will explain your results and if you do have a hearing loss, will then proceed to give you the options best suited to your individual needs. Please note if we find any medical problems with your ears or a build up of wax, we will refer you to your Doctor to ensure your health is maintained.
